Petersburski: Juz Nigdy - VOX 3 Collective - Golecka
5 Mar 2012
This Polish tango from 1930 was written by Jerzy Petersburski. The chorus is roughly translated as "Never again will I hear your beloved words. Never again will I press your lips to mine. Forever, the days of sadness and torment will remain. Never again will I be embraced by your white arms, Never again!" Sung by Magdalena Golecka, mezzo-soprano; James Morehead, piano; Heather De Souza, violin; Brian von Rueden, accordion; Martin Stonikas, bass; Phil Martin, percussion. Part of the VOX 3 Collective concert of 1930s music, called "Tin Pan Alley to Terezin" at the Skokie Public Library, January 2012.
